I Grew Up Hearing, "Reading is fundamental," and it is!

Every year, I see leaders post their reading lists. Stacks of books. Big ideas. Good intentions.

And every year, I’m reminded of a hard truth I learned early on:most books inform us; very few change us.

The books that actually shape us tend to arrive quietly. They don’t shout tactics. They tell stories that feel uncomfortably familiar. They slow us down long enough to ask better questions about who we are when no one is watching.

That’s why, if you’re already thinking about your 2026 reading list, I believe Lead by Legendary Example belongs on it.

This isn’t a book you race through. It’s built around lived moments; from leadership failures and quiet wins to seasons where presence, integrity, and perseverance mattered more than titles or credentials. The second section is intentionally structured as a 10-week journey, designed to move ideas off the page and into daily behavior, whether you read it alone or with a team.

Now consider this . . .what if the most valuable book you read next year isn’t the one that gives you new strategies, but the one that changes how you show up?

If you’re looking to read less for noise and more for meaning in 2026, this may be the book that stays with you long after the last page.

Because leadership isn’t declared.It’s lived.
